Project Details (SIMFED)

Sikkim State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation ltd. (SIMFED) was established in the year 1983 under the Sikkim Cooperative Society’s act of 1978 and Sikkim Cooperative Societies Rule of 1981. SIMFED was established as an Apex Marketing society for the state of Sikkim with the main intension of undertaking wholesale supply of consumer goods to the Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies (MPCS) and Consumer Cooperative Societies (CCS) and to arrange for bulk marketing of the surplus Agricultural produce including the important cash crops of the state.

Simfed is implementing four projects of organic farming under various schemes of Central as well as State Govt. in the State of CG Some of them are ("Adoption and certification of organic farmingof horticultural Crops with web managed traceability records for the facilitation of export and domestic retail chain in CHATTISGARH state,"Adoption and PGS India certification of Organic farming of Agriculture Crops in the state of CHATTISGARH,"Adoption and PGS India certification of Organic farming of Horticulture Crops (fruits & vegetables) in the state of CHATTISGARH," and Adoption and Certification of Organic farming of fruits and vegetables with web managed traceability records for the facilitation of export and domestic retail chain of horticultural crops in CHATTISGARH) in an area of500 Ha,250 Ha,500 Ha, in Rajnandgaon,Narayanpur,Rajnandgaon,Surajpur,Dantevada And Dantevada District of Chhattisgarh. Simfed has its own registered office in Chhattisgarh. The dedicated field as well as office staff is involved in these project. A total of 1762 Number of farmers have been registered and under these projects and now these farmers are implementing organic farming practices at their field.
